Abstract

Smart digital technologies are a new reality in which high-tech companies can carry out operational, investment, and financial activities. Smart digital technologies are a platform for the creation and development of multilateral inter-firm relations of high-tech companies and their counterparties. For the Russian economy, post-industrial transition was not completed at this technological stage. Opportunities that are opening up for high-tech companies in the context of global digitalization are seen as incentives for a full transition to an innovation-oriented, knowledge-based and technologically progressive socio-economic system. This article reveals key issues related to the use of advanced approaches to the strategic management of high-tech companies that participate in global digital cooperation. Methodological guidelines that help analyze the advantages of forms of interfirm cooperation, economic benefits and costs, as well as risks, threats, and restrictions to the development of a high-tech company are presented. Possibilities and limitations of the use of digital technologies of the present (computing, information and communication, precision, etc.) and the future (industrial IoT, VR and AR, machine learning, etc.) in building business models for high-tech companies are considered. The proposed methods and mechanisms of strategic management, which ensure the efficiency and safety of inter-firm cooperation of high-tech companies, are universal tools to support the adoption of complex decisions.
