Abstract

In today's environment, new solutions are needed to provide economic entities with goods that are unavailable as a result of sanctions and restrictions. Since it is young people who have a high innovative potential, initiative and the ability to take risks, it is they who can offer new solutions to the above-mentioned problems. At the same time, aspiring business leaders create small and medium-sized innovative enterprises to minimize the risk of implementing innovations, ensure flexibility, adapt to changes associated with digitalization and high volatility of activities. The purpose of the study is to identify the motivators that shape young people's choice of innovation and entrepreneurship, taking into account, primarily, those of them, which have emerged or intensified in the crisis. To achieve the target setting motivators were grouped with the allocation of internal and external motives for innovative entrepreneurship, then they were tested using questionnaire survey and interviewing methods on the basis of hypotheses formed, including assessment of prerequisites, social activity and innovation potential of young people, the selection of prevailing motivation factors. Based on the selection of dominant motivators in university graduates who are ready to become entrepreneurs, a model of motivation of innovative entrepreneurs was formed. The model is based on the well-known motivation theories of V. Vroom and D. Atkinson's model, improved by other authors. The overall level of young people’s motivation to business innovation is presented in the form of additive model as the addition of forces of external and internal motivation, and its components in the form of a multiplicative model of the dominant factors. The level of young people’s motivation to innovative entrepreneurship is established: which according to the studied data set has a fairly high level. It is established that educational training has a significant influence on motivation. Mechanism of youth’s motivation to innovative entrepreneurship relies on a set of economic, competence, legal, state and socio-political tools. Its improvement involves the inclusion of "digital" tools to support the development of young managers’ professional competencies and motivational qualities of leadership and self-leadership in a multi-stage system of forms and methods of motivational mechanism.
