INVESTMENT SUPPORT FOR INNOVATION ACTIVITIES
Abstract
In the modern economic space, the development of the country’s innovative state is a priority and strategic task for many countries, since the introduction of innovations ensures an increase in the main socio-economic indicators of the country, increases the level of competitive positions on the world stage, and accelerates the way out of the crisis of a state. In the 21st century, where there is rapid progress and technological change, innovation, like investment, is becoming an integral part of business processes and a way to ensure competitive advantage. At the same time, in order to achieve the successful implementation of innovative projects, it is important to have financial support in addition to the product (service) itself. Due to the sanctions pressure, Russia’s current policy is being reformatted. The purpose of the study is to study the process of providing investment support in the context of innovation and to determine its significance. General scientific methods of cognition, principles and methods of a systematic approach were used as part of the study of investment support for innovation activities in the regions. The paper considers the main importance of investments as a basic economic category, approaches to considering the essence of investment activity, the features and importance of investment support in innovation, as well as the principles of innovation and investment support. The article analyzes the innovation and investment support of foreign countries in 2023, which is given by the example of the global innovation index. The inextricable link between innovation activity and the investment component has been proved. It is confirmed that the successful implementation of innovative and investment activities contributes to the achievement of the main priorities of innovative development of the Russian economy.
