THE INNOVATION SYSTEM OF THE NOVGOROD REGION: CONTRADICTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the features of the formation and development of innovative systems in modern Russia in the regional context. In a dynamically developing economy, innovation has become a key tool for achieving sustainable development in Russian regions. The article examines the main features and contradictions inherent in the innovation system of the Novgorod region, as well as analyzes the prospects for its further development. The research is based on an analysis of regional policy, infrastructure projects, scientific and technical potential opportunities, as well as social and economic factors influencing the formation and development of an innovation system. It is concluded that the innovation policy in the Novgorod region has its advantages and disadvantages, which must be identified in a timely manner and systematically transformed. It is necessary to strengthen control over the implementation of departmental programs and projects in such areas as the development of innovation infrastructure, financing and investment in innovation, strengthening ties between science and business, support for start-ups and entrepreneurship, and the development of human capital in order to make more effective use of the existing innovation potential and accelerate the socio-economic development of the region. The implementation of these and other measures will improve the effectiveness of innovation policy in the Novgorod region, which will contribute to the growth of socio-economic indicators and improve the quality of life in the region in the long term.
