Conflict of Interests Policy
Conflict of interests occur when there are implicit interests (personal, professional, financial, or political) that may influence the judgment of authors / members of Editorial team / reviewers regarding a submitted article. When revealed later, they would make the reader feel misled or deceived.
Journal “BENEFICIUM” does not require a formal declaration of conflict of interests. However, it is implied that by submitting an article the author declares that:
- all forms of financial support are acknowledged in their contribution;
- there are no personal, professional, financial, or political involvements that might present a conflict of interest related to the submitted article.
Otherwise, the author should make an explicit declaration of conflict of interests in the text of the cover letter when submitting the article for consideration in the Editorial team. Also, if there is a conflict of interests, author may also suggest to exclude a particular member of Editorial team / reviewer from consideration of the submitted article.
The same obligations equally apply to members of Editorial team or reviewers that will handle the article: they should declare whether they have any conflict of interests that may influence the judgment.
Articles will be evaluated fairly and will not necessarily be rejected when any conflict of interests are declared.
